What You’ll Do This would involve analytical feedback from Process Fingerprint of Electro Chemical Machining (ECM) and Fast Hole Drilling (FHD). The internship involves contextualizing existing machine data streams and then using advanced analytics to identify relationships between the machining process and part quality. Process modifications and operational limits will be identified / tested based upon these relationships, with the objective to reduce rework and part defects. This project is tied to the Automation Roadmap for the Gas Value Stream and the internship would specifically be focused on the digitalization connections at these processes. This would involve collaboration with Operations, Technical Support, IT, and the development/research teams. Many of the foundational pieces are in place but a strong data analytics resource with understanding of manufacturing / process engineering / AI tools is required to tie all of the data collection, analysis, and feedback to these production cells. Project Outcomes Digital tool connection to manufacturing processes - i.e. Vimana, SPEC, L2L, etc. Digital escalation based on data feedback Digital communication between processes - machine to machine Machine adaptability based on digital feedback
