The position involves assisting Electrical Engineers with various tasks and projects to gain knowledge and experience in engineering aspects.

Responsibilities

  • Support Electrical Engineers in the design and integration of vehicle control/embedded systems development.
  • Select parts or components for quality conscious design, considering weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
  • Use 3D modeling software (CATIA and/or SolidWorks) integrated with analytical circuit software to develop wire harnesses for trucks.
  • Follow projects on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production builds and provide technical assistance.
  • Generate bill of materials.
  • Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.

Requirements

  • Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

Nice-to-haves

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • 3D Modeling and Drafting experience preferred.
  • Willingness to be hands on within various project phases, as needed.
