The position involves assisting Electrical Engineers with various tasks and projects to gain knowledge and experience in engineering aspects.
Responsibilities
- Support Electrical Engineers in the design and integration of vehicle control/embedded systems development.
- Select parts or components for quality conscious design, considering weight, cost, reliability, and ease of manufacturing.
- Use 3D modeling software (CATIA and/or SolidWorks) integrated with analytical circuit software to develop wire harnesses for trucks.
- Follow projects on the assembly floor for prototype, pilot, or production builds and provide technical assistance.
- Generate bill of materials.
- Consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to find solutions to problems.
Requirements
- Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related engineering degree.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Nice-to-haves
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- 3D Modeling and Drafting experience preferred.
- Willingness to be hands on within various project phases, as needed.
