Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience as an electrician's helper.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with vehicle insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation and servicing of electrical equipment while following safety codes and guidelines.
• Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment and adhere to job-specific safety protocols.
• Follow instructions from electricians to complete electrical projects.
• Assist journeyman with the installation or repair of fixtures and equipment as directed.
• Measure, cut, and bend material (EMT pipe) under supervision.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
• Ensure all necessary tools are on site and readily available during the project.
• Restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Keep electrical parts and materials organized and transport tools to the electrician as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and preparing the work space for the electrician.
• Clean and tidy the work area after the project, removing unused materials, dust, and dirt.
