This job maintains the total electrical distribution system throughout Ochsner's facilities. Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshoots, utilizing specialized test equipment and hand/power tools.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years in commercial or light industrial experience
- Experience with and the ability to properly use all power, hand tools and specialized equipment associated with the electrical trade
- Experience working with minimal supervision
- Experience with reading, writing and understanding mechanical and electrical symbolisms to enable one to interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications and mechanical
- Trade school training in the electrical field.
- Electrical license
Nice To Haves
- Additional degrees, business training experience and/or certifications may be combined to meet minimum qualifications.
- Electrical license necessary after 6 months of hire
Responsibilities
- Maintains and repairs complex electrical systems
- Performs Preventive Maintenance and Documentation
- Researches and troubleshoots problems
- Performs other duties as assigned
