About The Position

Core Responsibilities: Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, panels, switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, generators, UPS, PDUs, primary switchgear, and emergency backup systems. Diagnose and resolve issues such as power outages, faults, short circuits, and malfunctioning equipment; perform necessary troubleshooting, testing, and repairs. Install or modify electrical systems and components during renovations and upgrades. Conduct preventive maintenance, testing (e.g., grounding, insulation), and record-keeping per schedules, manufacturer guidelines, and NEC standards. Ensure compliance with electrical/building codes, NFPA, OSHA, and safety standards; inspect emergency lighting, fire alarm interfaces, and life safety systems. Log work orders, track metrics, and report on activities using department software. Collaborate with team members and contractors; provide technical support and supervise electrical contractor work as needed. Perform minor related trade tasks (e.g., demolition, patching, painting, cleanup) to complete electrical assignments. Attend at least 2-3 professional training sessions annually, including IUOE Local 30 courses. All other duties as assigned. Proficient in electrical safety procedures (NFPA 70E and OSHA) Must have at least 4 years of commercial/industrial experience in the electrical trade. Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local building codes. Shows the ability to work with and around High Voltage up to 13.2 KVA Install, maintain, adjust, operate, test and repair branch circuits, power distribution wiring, electrical equipment, fixtures, lighting systems, and conduit in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC). Lead and supervise electrical installations on construction sites, including commercial and industrial projects Experience with 208V three-phase , 208V single-phase , 120/240V , 208/240V, 480 Volt 3 phase circuitry . Availability – available for emergency calls 24hrs 7 days per week . Proficiency in NEC code, designing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems. Requirements
