About The Position

If you're wired for hands-on work and take pride in doing the job right, SPATCO is looking for a skilled and reliable Service Electrician to join our team-someone who can read blueprints, install and maintain electrical systems (including signage lighting), and use everything from conduit benders to voltmeters to keep things running safely and smoothly. Job Overview: Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures. Electrical petroleum experience a plus. Will be using hand tools and power tools. Trouble-shoot and diagnose malfunctioning systems or components using the appropriate testing equipment to find and correct the failure. Use of ohm meter, voltmeter, amp probe and megger are required Install conduits, Run MC cable, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers. Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Verify proper operation of the electrical system. Advise management, customers and fellow workmen when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate. Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances. Receive work orders from company tablet and fill out job work orders thru electronic means tablet.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED a plus but not required
  • 7 years of experience as an electrician; 5 out of the 7 years must be commercial work.
  • At least 1 year of Journeyman Electrician experience
  • Solid understanding of electrical standards and codes and NEC 70
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Willingness to work overtime and be on call as needed
  • Strong communication skills and detail-oriented mindset
  • Capable of lifting 75-100 lbs. and working in various weather conditions
  • Ability to manage time effectively under pressure and collaborate well with others.
  • Must be comfortable working at elevated heights, including on ladders, scaffolding, and rooftops.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical petroleum experience a plus.
