About The Position

Technicians must be able to read schematics, use meters, meggers, power analyzers, phase meters, and other test equipment to maintain and trouble shoot the electrical power systems, instrumentation, PLCs and equipment in the plant. Perform predictive and preventative maintenance duties Work closely with all team members to ensure that work is done in a safe manner. Works with process and project engineers as necessary to install new equipment and modify existing equipment. Assist other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality Comply with all company policies as well as local, state and federal laws/regulations. Communicates closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members on the status of work progress. Assists in the education of other team members to produce a multi-functional maintenance department. Assists manufacturing teams as necessary in process troubleshooting. Coaches safety in others and leads by example. Maintains and develops team relationships. Technicians will be required to install, remove, rig, align, or change out electrical distribution panels, transformers, motors, starters, breakers. Develops and stays current in cross-functional maintenance skills. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Specific knowledge and experience with: Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Experience working in a Safety focused team-based, customer and quality-emphasized environment.
