Summary: The electrician has advanced knowledge of various electrical techniques and is responsible for the layout, installation, repairing, and maintenance of various structures and fixtures in residential buildings. This role will install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications, lighting, and control systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid electrician's license as required by the state and/or jurisdiction where the work is performed.
• Proven experience as a licensed electrician.
• Hands-on experience in working with electrical materials and components.
• Punchlist experience.
• Completion of OSHA 10 or 30, or ability to complete.
• Possesses competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in electrical work.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent understanding of electrical techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures etc.).
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• A willingness to always follow safety guidelines.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to complete redline drawings.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
• Inspect electrical components and circuit breakers.
• Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand/power tools.
• Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
• Ability to bend and install EMT Conduit.
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures.
• LOTO adherence.
• Other duties as needed.
