The Electrician will inspect, repair and/or replace electrical control circuits, variable speed controllers, plant lighting, and switchgear 120/480 volt. They will troubleshoot and repair electrical component malfunctions on site equipment and perform corrective maintenance on cranes, motors, compactors, fans, etc. This individual will terminate electric motors 4160 volts or lower. Installing conduit and wiring for new installations and repairs to existing installations is required. Performing preventative maintenance on all site electrical equipment is essential and completing required documentation of work to be done and accomplished. Routinely takes readings using multi-meter and megger for testing of motors and circuits. Reading, interpreting, and utilizing stores catalog and equipment manuals for technical clarification and requisitioning parts and material is required. The Electrician should be able to operate a computer to access the Maintenance Management Program for equipment history and work order reviews, both corrective and preventive.
