Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred
- Valid electrician license in the state of Alabama (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum of 2+ years of electrical experience (varies by level)
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety standards
- Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program or higher
Nice To Haves
- Experience with both residential and commercial projects
- Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards or defects
- Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment
- Collaborate with contractors, construction teams, and other trades
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
