About The Position

This is a Full-Time, 1st Shift position with no weekend requirements. This position ensures that all electrical work complies with safety codes, hospital policies, and healthcare regulations, supporting a safe and reliable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program or technical school strongly preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of electrical experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility.
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair hospital equipment and building electrical systems to minimize downtime and disruption to patient care.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Install and test new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, ACHC, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Assist with emergency power systems, including generators and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, to ensure readiness.
Respond promptly to electrical service requests and emergencies.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inspection records.
Collaborate with biomedical, facilities, and other hospital departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Recommend improvements to enhance energy efficiency and system reliability.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, testing devices, and protective equipment.
All other duties as assigned.
