About The Position

As the Electrician – Data Center Deployment , you are responsible for executing the electrical buildout and ensuring the reliability of power infrastructure across Giga-developed sites. This role is critical to delivering high-quality installations during construction and commissioning, while ensuring each site is completed safely, efficiently, and handed off in a fully operational, turnkey condition to support a seamless experience for internal teams and end customers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial environments
  • Journeyman Electrician license preferred, but not required
  • Strong experience with 3-phase systems and large-scale electrical distribution
  • Hands-on experience terminating transformers, panels, UPS systems, and generators
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and construction drawings
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with data center, energy, or high-load environments is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Install, terminate, and commission electrical infrastructure across Giga-owned data center sites
  • Execute installation of 3-phase commercial/industrial power systems including transformers, switchgear, panels, UPS systems, and generators
  • Perform cable pulling, conduit bending, and wire terminations to code and project specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during buildout and commissioning phases to ensure site readiness and uptime
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and onsite teams to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery
  • Support site energization and commissioning activities, including testing and verification of electrical systems
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and safety standards
  • Document installations, updates, and field changes for project tracking and handoff
  • Assist in evaluating existing site conditions and identifying required upgrades or repairs
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials required for efficient deployment across sites
  • Travel extensively to active project sites to support rapid deployment and scaling of infrastructure
