About The Position

This position is responsible for inspection, repairs, installations and maintenance of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets the required safety codes. Uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Generally required to complete an apprenticeship. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 5-7 years electrical experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting including Allen Bradley and Siemens. (RsLogix500, PanelBuilder 32, RsLogix5000, FT View Studio, current Siemens PLC/HMI.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures operation of electrical systems and equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on conveyors, programmable controllers, transformers, voltage regulators, and machinery wiring; following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications; troubleshooting.
  • Repairs electrical systems and equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus, such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; determining faulty wiring; inspecting and testing malfunctioning machinery.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine electrical preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
  • Repairs and replaces faulty electrical components by using testing equipment and hand tools to install relays, switches, motors, printed circuit boards, and position-sensing devices.
  • Troubleshoot & program automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions, and verifying repairs to programmable controllers.
  • Maintains electrical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Conserves electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Provides electrical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
