About The Position

Under the direction of and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrician is responsible for installation and repairing of electrical equipment. This includes a mix of equipment as found in a mid to heavy manufacturing environment including motors, drives, controls, breakers, relays, PLCs, electrical for HVAC, and associated systems. You will have the opportunity to: Install or repair any variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment, also programming controllers, installing new equipment. Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications. Locate and diagnose trouble in the electrical system or equipment. Work standard computations relating to load requirements or wiring or electrical equipment. Use a variety of electrician hand tools.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years on the job experience is required or equivalent education.
• Basic maintenance metalworking and carpentry skills.

• repair of PLC’s and related programming

Responsibilities
