The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing a variety of electrical systems and components in County owned properties. SCHEDULE: Please note this position has a 4-day work week, with occasional Fridays, evenings, and weekend shifts. This position will require CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) Clearance prior to employment, training upon hire, and maintained indefinitely.

  • Maintain, repair, and install electrical systems; Including but not limited to switch gear, generators, transformers, lighting systems, ups, motors and controls, VFD's, A/C units, fuel pumps, and building automation systems.
  • Emergency response and on call. Including but not limited to: Floods, odors, lighting, HVAC, fire protection, and security.
  • Maintaining equipment related to job duties.
  • Maintain fire protection system; including control panels, smoke detectors, sprinklers, won doors, audio/visual, and door holders.
  • Maintenance of building automation systems; Including programming and testing for the needs of county employees, and or the public safety.
  • Install and maintain low-volt door access and controls.
  • This position requires after hours on-call for emergencies such as snow removal or other situations that call for essential personnel.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Three years of work-related experience.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent degree.
  • Colorado Journeyman license.
  • Fire alarm install experience.
