About The Position

Torgeson Electric Company is currently seeking skilled Electricians. Electricians install electrical systems in the construction industry at job sites and are knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions. Prior electrical installation background is required. Journeyman electricians install electrical systems in the construction industry at job sites and are knowledgeable in the National Electrical Code and local jurisdictions.

Requirements

• Prior electrical installation background is required
• Competition of an apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours) required
• Ability to effectively Communicate
• Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
• PPE required for all duties
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing
• OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman's License preffered

Responsibilities

• Installation of Electrical systems
• Direct and train apprentice to Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
• Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
• Ability to interpret prints and able to generate RFI's for projects
• Ensuring jobsite safety
• Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
