About The Position

We are looking for an experienced electrician who will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems and equipment, such as motors, transformers, wiring, switches, and alarm systems. This position will support attractions, food & beverage locations, retail areas, offices, and common spaces. This individual will perform all building maintenance tasks as assigned by their supervisor when required. Dezerland Park Orlando is more than Florida’s largest indoor attraction. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in electrical installation and maintenance is required
  • Journeyman license, required
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to perform mechanical maintenance tasks, handle or feel objects, tools, and controls; talk and hear
  • The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms and to climb on scaffolds and ladders
  • The employee is frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., and to move objects up to 100 lbs
  • Good verbal skills required
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings and instructions
  • Must be able to work flexible hours which includes holidays, weekends, and evenings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in commercial electrical work, preferred
  • Certificate from a trade or technical school preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and/or repair of all property electrical devices and systems including but not limited to electrical switchgear and breaker panels; electronic/electrical valves, dampers, and controls; motors and fans/air handlers; lighting, lighting dimming systems, and other associated equipment; electrical wiring, receptacles, switches, and other associated equipment
  • Install, maintain, inspect, and repair electrical systems, wiring, lighting, panels, motors and controls
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting attractions, lighting, and building systems
  • Respond promptly to electrical service calls and emergency situations
  • Assistant with any power distribution for new installations, remodels, or seasonal set ups
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, local codes, and company safety standards
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance
  • Provide technical guidance to other maintenance staff when needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the park when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
