About The Position

The electrician is responsible for installing, upgrading, and maintaining electrical systems in residential and commercial remodeling projects. This role involves working closely with the remodeling team to ensure all electrical work is completed in line with project timelines, design specifications, and safety codes. The electrician must have experience adapting existing electrical systems to meet new layouts and must be skilled in troubleshooting issues that arise during renovations. Strong communication skills are necessary to work effectively with department team members, contractors, and clients.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in electrical installation and upgrades, particularly in remodeling or renovation environments.
• Familiarity with adapting electrical systems to meet the new requirements of remodeled homes or buildings.
• Must be good with people, with strong communication skills for coordinating with remodeling teams, contractors, and clients.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings specific to remodeling projects.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing demands of remodeling projects, including tight schedules and shifting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and upgrade electrical wiring, lighting, and systems as part of residential and commercial remodeling projects.
• Assess and modify existing electrical systems to meet the new requirements of remodeled spaces.
• Collaborate with remodeling contractors to ensure electrical work aligns with design plans and project goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during demolition and reconstruction phases.
• Ensure all work meets local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Review blueprints, floor plans, and technical diagrams to determine electrical needs for remodeled spaces.
• Work closely with department team members and contractors to coordinate installation schedules and avoid delays in the remodeling process.
• Communicate with clients to provide updates and recommendations on electrical upgrades and modifications.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed to prevent hazards in active remodeling environments.
