About The Position

Performs skilled Electrical work. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days that will be scheduled full-time hours. Schedule : Monday-Thursday 7 am to 3:30 pm; Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. May be asked to work Saturday or Sunday. Schedule subject to change based on business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid California driver’s license to operate a utility cart and other equipment.
At least 3 years of experience as an Electrician.
Experience in safely operating heavy equipment such as forklift, manlift, scissors lift, etc.
Must be familiar with common safety rules and practices required in the electrical profession, including National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
Good customer service skills and the ability to work well with others a must.
Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs.
Must be available to work 5 days per week, on either morning or swing shift between mid-July and mid-August.

Responsibilities

Installs a variety of electrical equipment and fixtures for buildings and mechanical projects, including generators, transformers, switchboards and lighting control systems.
Installs and removes temporary electrical for events.
Maintains electrical equipment and fixtures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment and fixtures as needed throughout buildings and facilities.
Uses test instruments such as ammeters and voltmeters.
Operates heavy equipment such as forklift, manlift, scissors lift, etc.
Applies National Electrical Code (NEC) to all installations.
Orders, maintains and stores electrical supplies and equipment.
Maintains the facility’s Energy Management System.
Will be required to perform other duties as directed, requested or assigned.
