About The Position

Overview: Join us and become part of the Cook Family. We are looking for an Electrician to help support our growing business. Cook Properties is New York State’s largest owner and operator of manufactured housing communities. Our portfolio includes 100+ manufactured home parks totaling 6,500 pads. We also own and manage 200,000+ square feet of commercial, retail, and office space, along with 2000 self-storage units. What you’ll get to do: As an Electrician, you will; Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in Manufactured homes. Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables. Ensure piping complies with electrical codes. Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them. Connect electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to homes. Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation. Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed. Replace conduit and wiring as needed. Replace circuit breakers as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements

  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship and valid electrician’s license required
  • High School Diploma, preferred
  • Comfortable with outside work 80 – 90% of the time in all seasons
  • All paperwork done via tablet and cell phone
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
  • Interested in working in a Property Management company
  • Must have a valid Driver's license
  • Organization and time-management skills to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
