About The Position

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.8 billion+ contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA’s Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA’s nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work. POSITION OVERVIEW: The installation or repairs of any of a variety of electrical equipment such as transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, receptacles, or other transmission equipment, working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, Locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment, Working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment, Using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measurement/test instruments. Secondary duties required of this position will be general installation duties in relation to the electrical installations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the electrical construction industry
  • MS Office experience and computer proficiency required
  • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be willing to travel 100% throughout the United States and its territories
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required
  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a satisfactory DOT medical examination
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
