About The Position

Perform electrical work that consists of installation, repair, modification and general maintenance as required. Work may include other duties as assigned by manager. Job duties: Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams to install equipment. Perform electrical repairs as required to building equipment. Perform PM on electrical equipment. Troubleshoot and replace electrical components and equipment inside control panels. Assist in the installation and adjustment of new plant equipment. Able to operate multiple tools (powered, unpowered) in a safe manner. Perform work as necessary to ensure plant equipment operates continuously and efficient. Notify manager of any problems that may arise. Participate in continuing education sponsored by the company. Able to use and operate electrical test equipment. Working knowledge of PLC’s, MMI’s, and motion control. Working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC). Must be able to follow OSHA safety procedures. Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement. Demonstrated Technical Competencies Must be able to read and interpret documents pertaining to safety, operating instructions and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively to employees in various departments and outside vendors Ability to use math in all units of measurement. Knowledge of electrical theory (Ohms Law) Knowledge on how to bend conduit tubing Ability to write routine reports such as work orders, preventative maintenance, etc. Ability to interpret multiple types of instructions (written, oral diagram, or schedule form). Must be able follow directions from management. Ability to work in a team and interact in a professional and courteous manner with coworkers. Safety Must comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Other requirements: Must demonstrate excellent communication skills. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must demonstrate a commitment to employee and food safety. Physical capabilities: Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds. Must be capable of climbing ladders at working at varied heights.
