About The Position
Alta Forest Products is the world's largest producer of wood fence boards, specializing in Western Red Cedar and other premium species found in the Pacific and Inland Northwest forests. In addition to producing fence boards and pallet stock lumber, Alta's zero-wood-waste sawmills produce by-products such as wood chips, sawdust, mulch, and bio-fuel. Electricians play a vital role in sawmill operations, ensuring that electrical equipment is in proper working condition and that mill production is optimized. This position will assist in planning layouts, installation, and repairing wiring of electrical fixtures, heavy machinery, and control equipment. The qualified candidate will hold a Journeyman's license or equivalent training through a formal apprenticeship program.
