About The Position

ION Solar is seeking licensed electricians to join their rapidly expanding team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems related to solar installations, ensuring high-quality work and safety standards while contributing to the company's mission of making solar energy accessible and affordable for homeowners.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship and proof of valid electrician's license required
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must have a clean driving record as determined by a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check

Nice To Haves

• Solar or relevant experience is preferred
• Unlicensed candidates must be enrolled in a trade apprenticeship

Responsibilities

• Complete projects within established policies and procedures
• Complete projects within time frames and budgets
• Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on crew safety
• Assemble the solar array racking, properly seal all roof penetrations, and install all relative equipment
• MSP Rebuilds & Upgrades
• Responsible for the groundwork of a solar installation which includes the connection to the MSP
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
• Communicate with customers in a professional and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
• Document proper paperwork for each job completed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
