Trillium Construction is seeking qualified Industrial Electricians for an exciting opportunity in Palmer, AK, specifically for the role of Electrical General Foreman in our Yukon Region. This is an hourly position that reports directly to the Electrical Regional Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing skilled electrical work, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment, and supervising the electrical workforce. The selected candidate must be willing to relocate to Alaska and must possess a valid Journeyman Electricians License. In this role, you will be expected to confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve various matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. You will conduct periodic inspections of work sites, oversee craftsmanship, manage budgets, and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately. Additionally, you will attend job walks and job take-offs, demonstrating considerable knowledge of the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E for electrical installations. As a leader, you will set a professional example for your crew, challenge employees to achieve excellence, and conduct pre-employment interviews to hire only qualified candidates. You will also manage and track tools, ensuring that the appropriate number of tools are available for the crew size and that defective tools are returned with proper documentation. Your responsibilities will include producing schedules, monitoring attendance, and being flexible to work various shifts, including on-call, nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as traveling and working out of town as necessary. You will be expected to comply with all company policies and procedures, study job specifications to determine appropriate electrical methods, requisition supplies and materials, and prepare estimates and progress reports. Additionally, you will investigate any damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, ensuring that proper procedures are followed. Your ability to interpret and explain plans and contract terms to staff and clients will be crucial, as will your proficiency in motor control centers and installation of control panels. You will also supervise and provide technical expertise to the electrical workforce, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
