About the position

OLM Food Solutions is looking for an Electrician! The Electrician will install, repair and maintain the electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems in buildings while ensuring work is in accordance with relevant codes. This position plays a crucial role in supporting America's food distribution system by performing essential work in a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues regarding production equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Install conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
  • Ensure piping complies with electrical codes.
  • Install circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connect wiring to them.
  • Connect electrical systems to power lines to provide electricity to the building.
  • Test electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Inspect electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Replace conduit and wiring as needed.
  • Replace circuit breakers as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Support with facility maintenance issues beyond electrical duties.
  • Have the correct knowledge of tools and their usage.
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment.
  • Understand machine specific lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Have a general knowledge of Hazmat policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
  • Associate's Degree/2-Year Technical.
  • 5-7 years of work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Electrical Journeyman License (EE98J); a second related Journeyman's License; or Equivalent military experience or Completion of 60 Credit Hours Electrical.

Nice-to-haves

  • Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.
