About The Position

Electricians are Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems to the NEC standards for the facility and supporting equipment (not including production equipment). Administrators for electrical safety systems. Arc-Flash, NEC, bonding/grounding, and qualified electrical personnel compliance. Oversight for contractor electrical work compliance.What you can look forward to as an Electrician V: Identify compliance and non-compliance with the NEC. Create and execute plans to comply with the standard using external contractors or performing the work internally with qualified personnel; depending on the complexity and magnitude of the project. Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control systems and equipment. Plan and execute routing new conduit for installing electrical service to new/used junction boxes and control panels. Complete preventative maintenance tasks on building and facility equipment with a focus on electrical circuits and panels. Performs work from specifications, plans, drawings, sketches and instruction to determine electrical requirements, loads, materials and constraints for the most cost-effective solution. Performs non-routine technical assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Contributes to planning and strategy development to achieve departmental goals and objectives. Establishes and maintains a cost conscience relationship with vendors and suppliers. Participate in equipment moves, including production equipment, office cubicles and/or furniture. Perform minor plumbing tasks including lavatory repair, soap dispensers, etc. and assist with cleanup as needed. Maintains accurate records of all quotes and purchase transactions. Documents repairs, maintenance activities and records material usage using CMMS Software. Maintain cleanliness and organization utilizing 5S principles in work areas and grounds. Perform other work as requested.
