About The Position

The Electrician Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for all electrical assembly, installation, and troubleshooting activities within industrial and commercial production environments. This role ensures electrical work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with NEC standards. The Electrician Supervisor directs Electrical Journeyman Leads, Electricians, and Apprentices; manages workflow; and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to support production goals and maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a National Electrical Code (NEC) certified journeyman apprenticeship or equivalent program.
  • 16,000 verifiable hours of experience as an Electrician in an industrial or construction environment.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of high-voltage equipment, electrical systems, and industrial control wiring.
  • Strong understanding of materials, tools, and methods used in control panel assembly and electrical installations.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, layout drawings, and wiring blueprints with accuracy.
  • Proficiency with electrical testing equipment including voltmeters, MEGGER testers, and light meters.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally at all organizational levels.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to electrical work.
  • Physical ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and crouch for 8–10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs or push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Journeyman Electrical License in the state of Idaho (or reciprocity-eligible state) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily electrical operations, ensuring proper installation, modification, and testing of electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
  • Assign, schedule, and prioritize electrical tasks to meet production deadlines and project requirements.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, work orders, and specifications; ensure teams follow accurate installation and assembly procedures.
  • Oversee and support installation of electrical raceways, including conduit, wireways, and cable trays.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot house utilities, control wiring, and electrical equipment using NEC standards, diagrams, and testing devices.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and performance oversight for apprentices, helpers, and general laborers involved in electrical tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, state licensure requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on work performed, ensuring accurate wiring, proper equipment assembly, and adherence to electrical diagrams.
  • Train, mentor, and assess the skill development of team members; contribute to performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when needed.
  • Maintain documentation, approve timecards, and manage accurate labor reporting within the HRIS system.
  • Support development and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) for electrical work.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Safety teams to coordinate workflow and resolve technical issues.
  • Promote and enforce all safety protocols; lead by example in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
