Requirements

  • 5+ years' residential electrical service experience REQUIRED
  • Must have significant experience troubleshooting in a residential environment
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Must be at least 22 years old to meet insurance requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Be familiar with a wide range of electrical troubleshooting techniques
  • Highly safety conscious
  • Knowledge of safe work practices on ladders and scaffolding
  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Experience making repair and replace decisions
  • A thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
  • Possess tools needed

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, replace, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial Electrical systems.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on residential systems with minimal assistance and supervision while sustaining a positive attitude with the customers you service.
  • Discuss electrical system malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
  • Use of software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
