The Electrician/PLC Programmer position involves inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining the electrical and instrumentation systems in a safe manner within an integrated box plant. The role requires mechanical and electrical skills, familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics, and expert troubleshooting experience. The candidate must have knowledge of AC and DC motors installation and repair, PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings. The position is full-time, with shifts on 2nd and 3rd shifts, and candidates must be willing to work alternative shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.

  • Inspect, test, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Install and set up both A/C and D/C drives.
  • Complete preventative maintenance of scheduled machinery.
  • Provide resolution to mechanical and electrical problems of machinery.
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Work with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems down to component level.
  • Must possess a 2-year degree in Electronics Engineering or military equivalent training program.
  • Expert mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC motors installation and repair.
  • Extensive PLC troubleshooting knowledge, such as with Siemens and Allen Bradley.
  • Working knowledge of encoders and various types of sensors.
  • Knowledge in pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, power transmissions, and lubrication.
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant.
