About The Position

A Maintenance Technician plus Electrician, performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment. Their duties include electrical work, fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, wiring and inspecting buildings to conform to safety standards. The maintenance/electrical technician will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment and troubleshooting circuit problems while applying theory and related knowledge to install, rebuild or repair electrical equipment as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High School or GED.
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical in industrial environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions with accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Multi-Tasking skills.
  • Knowledge and use of machine tools such as Mills, Lathes and Drill Press.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to communicate in English- verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing and maintaining equipment including motors, transmission systems, and production related equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits up to and including 480-volt three phases.
  • Troubleshoot PLC's.
  • Repair and/or replace electrical components.
  • Make recommendations for the replacement or modification of electrical equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machines and equipment.
  • Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns.
  • Adjusting mechanical parts using hand and machine tools.
  • Fabricating parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Preparing and submitting maintenance reports.
  • Complete the required service records; and will be responsible for recommending equipment modifications and/or replacement of electrical components.
  • Installing new production equipment.
  • Communicating with the production team and maintaining a clean work area.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Complete all assigned training, including monthly health and safety sessions.
  • Welding.
  • Follow all PPE.
  • Work from ladders and lifts.
  • Able to complete forklift and scissor lift training and operate both.
  • Other duties as assigned.
