Performing installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electric energy (lighting, generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems) Working from blueprints or drawings to troubleshoot electrical systems Working from computations of working standards relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment Following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications Using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment Planning layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on applicable specifications and standards Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components Testing electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devises, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system Using a variety of tools or equipment such as measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, to ensure compliance with standards Preparing sketches or following blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to safety codes Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. Working from ladders or scaffolds to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures Diagnosing and repairing/replacing faulty electronic components using electronic test equipment and hand tools Planning layout of wiring and install wiring, conduit, and electrical components onboard Navy vessels #LI-JC1
