The position involves providing oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff, reviewing/auditing work for accuracy, assigning maintenance tasks, and ensuring work is completed according to deadlines and quality standards. Responsibilities include tracking maintenance costs, managing parts inventory, installing and repairing electrical systems, and maintaining production equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight of work conducted by junior-level staff and/or review/audit work for accuracy.
  • Assign maintenance tasks to staff, monitor progress, and ensure work is completed according to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Track maintenance costs and manage parts inventory as well as work orders effectively.
  • Install, modify, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment.
  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments for repairs.
  • Repair or reproduce parts using welders or machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders.
  • Update and maintain shift schedules in the time and attendance system, as well as enter attendance transactions.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of the construction, installation, operation, and troubleshooting of sophisticated circuitry and controls.
  • Ability to formulate layout sketches of required electrical circuits and wire new test setups.
  • Skill in the use of hand tools, power tools, and test equipment needed to perform the job effectively.
  • Knowledge of electronics and electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and transistors.
  • Ability to interpret complex multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers' specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, HazMat, Lock Out Tag Out, NEC, etc.
