About The Position
General Maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to learn Tyson SAP software to make work orders and fill out the daily documentation that is required in the system. Must be able to read and write where required. Must be able to use math as needed to make work-related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc. Must be able to lift 70 lbs. on a daily basis and be able to work on your feet for a period of 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.
Requirements
- MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN ELECTRICAL OR EQUIVALENT CERTIFICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION LISTED ON THE APPLICATION.
- Must have a working knowledge of electricity, power, transmissions, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and the use of shop tools.
- Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
- If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
- If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
- Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
