About The Position

The Journeyman Electrician at Lakeside Foods is responsible for maintaining and repairing the electrical systems within the facility. This role is crucial for ensuring that all electrical equipment operates efficiently, thereby supporting the overall production process. Requirements

• High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred.
• Must be certified by the State to meet all requirements necessary to hold a Journeyman's Electrician rating with four or more years of experience.
• Experience with industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair is required.
• Prior experience troubleshooting PLC programs is a plus, willing to provide on-the-job training.
• Positive attitude.
• Strong work ethic.
• Safety mindset, utilizing extreme care on troubleshooting and repairs where high voltages are involved.

• Experience troubleshooting PLC programs.

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
• Repair and maintain motor control centers and programmable logic controls (1000 volt and below).
• Make emergency repairs when necessary to offset excessive downtime and production delays.
• Assist plant mechanics with troubleshooting and repairs.
• Supervise and train production staff as needed.
