About The Position

Skillforce is seeking Electrician Journeyman to play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on a commercial site in Scottsdale, Az. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and safety protocols to deliver high-quality workmanship that meets regulatory standards. The journeyman electrician will collaborate with project managers, apprentices, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall success of construction and maintenance projects by providing expert electrical services that support operational continuity and safety compliance.

Troubleshooting electrical issues, performing inspections, and implementing solutions that enhance system reliability and safety.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
Proven experience working as a journeyman electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Nice To Haves

Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems.
Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in the United States.
Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
Familiarity with energy-efficient electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.
Ability to operate electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to relevant codes and standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and supervisors to ensure project requirements are met.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
