About The Position

The Electrician - Journeyman plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires a deep understanding of electrical codes, blueprints, and safety protocols to deliver high-quality workmanship that meets regulatory standards. The journeyman electrician will collaborate closely with project managers, apprentices, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within budget. They are responsible for troubleshooting complex electrical issues, performing inspections, and ensuring all work complies with local and national electrical codes. Ultimately, this role contributes to the reliability and safety of electrical infrastructure, supporting the overall success of construction and maintenance projects nationwide.

Requirements

  • MUST BE ABLE TO BEND EMT CONDUIT in the following sizes: 1/2", 3/4", 1:, 2", 3".
  • MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical codes.
  • Proven experience working as a journeyman electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems.
  • Certification in OSHA safety standards or equivalent safety training.
  • Familiarity with energy-efficient electrical systems and renewable energy technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to relevant codes and standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with clients and supervisors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each project.
