About The Position

The Electrician position at the St. Paul Park Refinery is a full-time role responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable refinery operations. This position supports the refinery's strategic business goals and requires adherence to safety standards and practices. The role operates on a 4-10 schedule, primarily Monday through Thursday, with occasional weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minnesota Master or Journey worker Electrician License is required.
• 3 years of trade/relevant work experience is required.
• Ability to learn complex refinery-related material.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) is required upon hire.
• Familiarity with refinery equipment codes & standards is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with complex control systems and industrial lighting.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, and commission electrical systems including motor circuits, low and medium voltage switchgear, and motor control centers.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as part of the Mechanical Integrity Program.
• Use and understand electrical one-line drawings and schematics, and operate electrical testing equipment.
• Execute Lock out/Tag out procedures and adhere to standard industrial safety processes.
• Maintain required safety and development training per site plan.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish work efficiently and to high quality standards.
