About The Position
The Electrician I is a key member of the UAH Facilities & Operations department, which is responsible for the planning, design, construction, renovation, maintenance, and repair of the University. This employee will perform skilled work in installing, repairing, and maintaining all electrical equipment, appliances, and circuitry. The employee sets his/her shift hours within a second shift timeframe (Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 10:00 PM). Once the employee sets their shift hours, the schedule is considered final and cannot be altered without prior approval. The second shift is considered a shift differential pay category; if the employee returns to the first shift at any time, the shift differential will be removed.
