Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field, or demonstrated equivalent experience required.
  • Mechatronics Degree preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment - independently or in a team setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Preventive Maintenance program to prevent equipment failures.
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and minimize downtime for manufacturing and support, electro-mechanical, and furnace combustion systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and minimize downtime for Programmable Logic Control, Human Machine Interface systems, and their companion controls.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and minimize downtime for the electrical power distribution system, including the facility's production equipment electrical system.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and minimize downtime for AC and DC motors and drive systems.
  • Read and understand systems drawings.
  • Understand the plant lubrication system and the pipe, hydraulic, pumping, and pneumatic systems, and assist Mechanics as needed.
  • Test equipment prior to Production Operator use to ensure proper and safe operation.
  • Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
