About The Position

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Journeyman Electrician to support operations at the General Motors Wentzville Assembly Center. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex electrical systems in a critical facilities environment.   This position requires an active Journeyman Electrician license or card. Candidates without proper certification will not be considered.   This role is ideal for a licensed electrician who takes pride in craftsmanship, values structure and safety, and wants long-term stability in a professional facilities environment.   At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Requirements

  • Active Journeyman Electrician license or Journeyman card
  • Minimum 7+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC standards and electrical safety practices
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a skilled trades team
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
  • Physically capable of performing trade duties, including lifting and working at heights

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems
  • Work with high-voltage systems (up to 480V), power distribution, switchgear, transformers, and UPS systems
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and prints
  • Bend and install conduit; pull wire; install electrical fixtures and controls
  • Perform root cause analysis and advanced electrical troubleshooting
  • Utilize CMMS systems (e.g., Maximo) for work orders and documentation
  • Test electrical components for voltage, current, continuity, and resistance
  • Support plant engineering and project teams on equipment installation and upgrades
  • Coach and mentor apprentices as assigned
  • Operate lifts, forklifts, and work safely at heights
  • Follow all GM and Aramark safety policies
