About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Manufacture quality blow molding machinery, auxiliary equipment, and sub-assemblies using various tools and equipment. Maintain compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and Company safety standards. Build and manufacture items according to drawings and bills of material, meeting established production quality and quantity standards. Perform maintenance and repair of building equipment as assigned, including preventative maintenance. Operate power equipment and material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes). Collaborate with supervisors, engineering, and production personnel to resolve manufacturing problems and report material shortages. Develop specifications from general descriptions and create sketches of parts or products to be manufactured. Submit daily time accounting, payroll information, and other required paperwork. Assist with employee training and support other departments as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in wiring sub-assemblies, cabinets, and machine assemblies using routings, drawings, and bill of materials.
  • Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, documenting changes as needed.
  • Experience with layout and prototype of electrical components, wireways, and conduit.
  • Knowledge of electrical fittings, fasteners, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with mainframe computers and ability to work with metric and standard inch systems.
  • Skills in machine startup, checkout, and troubleshooting.
  • Must possess personal hand tools for effective task performance.
