Boise Cascade is seeking qualified candidates to join our maintenance team as an Electrician I. This position is critical to our operations, as we are one of the largest manufacturers of plywood and engineered wood products in North America. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our manufacturing plant. This includes following safe work practices, adhering to plant policies and procedures, and performing machine troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The Electrician I will be tasked with installing new electrical equipment and wiring, as well as repairing or replacing motors, controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controller (PLC) components. In this role, you will be expected to work in various environments, including heights and hot or dusty conditions. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as the position may require shifts that include days, swing, and graveyard, along with the possibility of daily or weekly overtime. The Electrician I will also need to comprehend and enter detailed work orders into our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), ensuring accurate documentation of maintenance activities. This position is vital to maintaining the operational integrity of our plant and supporting our commitment to quality and safety in our manufacturing processes.
