About The Position

Continental Maritime of San Diego is currently seeking an Electrician Helper 3 to support our operations. Requires an overall general knowledge of the electrical requirements onboard Naval Ships. Such knowledge includes, but is not limited to, installing cables, banding, pack stuffing tubes/MCTS and equipment installs, power distribution, applicable equipment, and the ability to recognize electrical or electronic devices and circuitry used throughout the Maritime industry. Must have the ability to adapt to a variety of situations and the capability to work in any environment onboard a ship.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Ability to acquire a DBIDS credential.
• Complete understanding of electronic components and circuitry.
• Must be able to work first and second shift.
• One year of progressive electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install cables and banding on naval ships.
• Pack stuffing tubes and perform equipment installations.
• Assist in power distribution tasks.
• Recognize and work with electrical and electronic devices and circuitry.
• Adapt to various situations and environments onboard ships.
