Requirements

• Completion of the State of Wisconsin indentured apprentice program as an Electrician.
• Maintain a license to install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring in the State of WI.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of AC/DC theory necessary for operating and repairing electrical/electronic instrumentation and equipment.
• Ability to work safely from platforms and ladders without physical impairments.
• Visual, auditory, and olfactory discrimination skills for performing necessary checks.
• Ability to handle/lift/push/pull various assemblies, including lifting 50 lbs repetitively without assistance.
• Ability to work in confined areas and stand/sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and electronic installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance on plant electrical systems and equipment.
• Install complex circuits and distribution centers in accordance with plans and codes.
• Maintain substations and troubleshoot electrical and electronic malfunctions.
• Work from wire diagrams, schematic drawings, and codebooks to complete work orders.
• Use electrical and electronic measuring and test devices while complying with safety precautions.
• Provide technical direction and layout work for lower classification electricians.
