About The Position

The Electrician Foreman plays a critical leadership role in overseeing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair projects across various construction and industrial sites within the United States. This position is responsible for managing a team of electricians, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with local electrical codes and regulations. The foreman coordinates project schedules, resources, and materials to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship standards. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting complex electrical issues, providing technical guidance, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ultimately, the Electrician Foreman ensures that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients and stakeholders. Pay Range: Starts at $34/HR DOE

Requirements

  • Valid electrician license or certification as required by the state of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a journeyman electrician with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant electrical standards.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and OSHA regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial electrical projects.
  • Certification in project management or leadership training.
  • Familiarity with electrical estimating and budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software and digital project management tools.
  • First aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians on-site, assigning tasks and monitoring progress to ensure timely project completion.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical schematics to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with national and local electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety protocols to minimize workplace hazards and accidents.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to align electrical work with overall project goals and timelines.
  • Train and mentor electricians, providing technical support and fostering professional development within the team.
  • Manage inventory of electrical materials and tools, ordering supplies as needed to avoid project delays.
  • Document work progress, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and issues.
