About The Position

Under general supervision, performs entry level electrical duties in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Employees in this classification receive on-the-job training and are expected to advance to the next higher level upon meeting the minimum qualifications and satisfactory job performance.

Requirements

• High school graduation or other equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to read and write English fluently.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation of electrical wiring and equipment.
• Assists in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
• Assists in the troubleshooting of electrical problems.
• Assists in the inspection of electrical systems and equipment.
• Assists in the preparation of electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Assists in the maintenance of electrical records.
• Assists in the ordering of electrical supplies and equipment.
• Assists in the training of other employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
