About The Position

The Electrician position at the School Board of Levy County involves installing and maintaining electrical systems throughout the school district. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years experience as an electrician.
• Valid Florida Driver's License for required travel.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of State statutes, State Board of Education, and local School Board Codes related to health and safety.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Knowledge of and skill to use tools of the trade.

Nice To Haves

• Journeyman's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain all electrical systems, devices, and fixtures throughout the School District.
• Maintain tools and equipment necessary to perform duties.
• Inventory tools, equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Requisition materials and supplies for jobs in progress.
• Provide the Director of Maintenance with information needed to develop the budget for the fiscal year.
• Install all electrical systems in accordance with all codes (State and local).
• Install all electrical systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Supervise maintenance helpers/assistants to ensure work is in accordance with plans.
• Assist other tradesmen and perform electrician duties in conjunction with other trades.
• Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.
