Job Summary Assists electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment and fixtures of city buildings and facilities (e.g., airport field lighting, exhibit booths, city buildings, pump stations, traffic signal lighting, and water plants) according to federal, state, and local electrical codes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year of experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Must have or be able to obtain State of Texas Electrical Apprentice License before appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians in the installation of electrical equipment and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain electrical equipment and fixtures in city buildings and facilities.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local electrical codes.
