The role requires the use of various test instruments to maintain and repair electrical systems, ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include fabricating electrical parts, participating in the maintenance and operation of electrical tools and equipment, and troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems such as electric motors and controls. The position also involves testing and monitoring electrical systems to locate breakdown causes, ensuring the proper function of electrical safety devices, and adhering to National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements. Additionally, the role requires maintaining service and repair records, responding to routine and emergency repair calls, and following blueprints to determine wiring locations and compliance with building and safety codes.
